I am a writer and social justice advocate, seeking and telling stories to help understand the way the world is now and the hope of how it could be.
I’m a published poet and essayist; my debut poetry collection, Unborn, was published in 2024. I’m an advocacy consultant with over fifteen years of experience in research, policy development, advocacy strategy and communications. I have been a journal editor, a columnist, a lecturer, a researcher, a ghostwriter, a workshop facilitator and a media advisor. I’ve developed climate change advocacy strategies that have shifted millions of dollars out of fossil fuels and into renewable energy. I’ve shaped environmental media messages that have reached hundreds of millions of people across broadcast and print media. I work for and with NGOs, universities, faith and grassroots groups to engage people locally, nationally and internationally with social and environmental justice.
I explore how we can live well in this broken and beautiful world on my Substack, Stories from Clay.
